Keep multiple computer's clipboards in sync. Data is encrypted when sent over the network. Accessed from tray icon or global hot key. Select entry by double click, enter key or drag drop.
Paste into any window that excepts standard copy/paste entries. Display thumbnail of copied images in list.
Full Unicode support(display foreign characters). UTF-8 support for language files(create language files in any language). Uses sqlite database. Well, mainly because if you are the type of person who likes to save comments, twitter posts, or other data via Windows Clipboard, Windows stock Clipboard app does NOT save that data.
I think the most is that you can set up Windows to save the last three Clipboard entries (made via pressing the 'Control' and letter 'C'). A fourth entry will 'delete' the first. Enter what I call a Clipboard archiver utility program.

(Side note: Ditto is not an 'app' - an app is a program made for a cell phone or mobile. Programs are for your computer.)I have used Ditto for years (after a program called Note Frog was no longer working). For those wondering what this is, I would call it a 'clipboard saver' or 'clipboard archiver' since that's what I mostly use it for.Bottom Line: With a clipboard saver/archiver, whenever I highlight text, links, or graphic images, when I press the 'copy' command key on my keyboard (e.g., pressing 'control' and letter 'C' at same time), the highlighted material is sent to Ditto, which has now been saved and archived in my Ditto folder.I later can access the Ditto archive (aka file or database) to search for whatever I put into Ditto. On finding the material I can then use it for whatever purpose.Backstory: 20 years ago I desired to save and archive posts, comments, data and other information I inputted in forums, comment sections, e-mail content, and even Microsoft Word files.
Ditto is an extension to the standard windows clipboard. It saves each item placed on the clipboard allowing you access to any of those items at a later time. Ditto allows you to save any type of information that can be put on the clipboard, text, images, html, custom formats. Sep 10, 2012 Download this app from Microsoft Store for Windows 10, Windows 8.1. Over the years I have used two programs that provided the features I needed, a program called 'Note Frog' and later Ditto.Despite having thousands of 'files' accumulated in Note Frog, it stopped working when I got a new PC. Support was lacking on its website, so I went looking for another app, enter Ditto. Why DittoIt is simple really, once you start using a clipboard archive program (which is classed a 'Utility' program) you're pretty much stuck having to use that program if you have built up a large database over the years. (For this reason, choose a program wisely.
Use a program that has a good founded reputation, stable, and you feel is going to still be supported 10 years.)Warning: IMO Ditto has a moderately difficult learning curve. The program has a LOT of features and settings, which is good thing, but you have to be willing to put some time into learning about the app, its features, and how to use the ones you deem valuable. For example, it is known that hackers/criminals break into computers to access stored passwords or private information such as names, SSN, driver's license information, financial information, etc. Places they search include Windows clipboard, archivers, databases, e-mails, your browser's stored information (passwords, user names, account numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses, etc.)As addition layer of security, you can 'right click' your mouse when the cursor hovers over the Ditto icon. A menu will pop up. One of the choices on the menu is 'Disconnect from clipboard.' What that means, you are telling Ditto NOT to copy and archive whatever information you are about to copy and paste on to a web page form, such as your credit card account number. After you are done with that 'confidential' copy and paste, you can again turn on Ditto.Bonus Tip: I additionally tell my (Firefox) browser to NEVER remember or store passwords to banks or other private/confidential websites.Bonus Tip: This comment is a perfect example of where Ditto comes in handy.
Let's assume after I am almost done with this comment I highlight, copy, and save it, BEFORE I press the 'Submit' icon. If for some reason the page times out, the comment gets lost in the process, or I press 'delete' by accident, with Ditto it is no problem, I can recall it from the Ditto archive and have it pasted back into this Write a Review box (field).
